Strength and Courage

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear or be in dread of them: for it is the Lord your God who goes with you; he will not fail you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 This is the scripture that ran on a continuous loop in my head during my surgery and the days following. So often, especially lately, I've heard people say "God doesn't give us more than we can handle." I think that statement is backwards. God's strength and courage are there by means of the Holy Spirit to help us handle whatever we're given. He will not fail me or forsake me...or you. And we can depend on it.
